Mark Brown is a native to North Carolina, but has spent a lot of
time, 17 years to be exact in California, five of those years just
outside of Napa Valley, where he first learned wine making. After
spending many years in LA working in the Special Effects business,
Mark made his way back to his roots in Rowan County where he owns
and operates Old Stone Vineyard and Winery. He also is a board member
of the North Carolina Muscadine Growers Association.
"My personal feeling about making wine is to make a statement
with bold flavors. I do this by growing the best grapes as organically
as it can be done, combined with the most advanced winery procedures
available.
No wimpy wines allowed - please".
